About The Practice

Rick Baxley, M.D. opened his family practice in 1988 in Orlando’s College Park neighborhood. Since then, it has become a medical home for people of all ages and medical conditions, providing comprehensive primary care and integrated health care services.

The cornerstone of Dr. Baxley’s practice is an ongoing, personal relationship with his patients that emphasizes preventative care, health maintenance and Executive Physicals in addition to acute care. The detailed medical history that develops from these long-term relationships gives Dr. Baxley the knowledge to better recommend the most appropriate wellness options and treatments.

At College Park Family Practice, we try to keep the billing part of your visit as simple as possible. We accept payment by cash, check, credit card, or Health Savings Account payment for the entire amount at the time of service. Most of our patients have some type of health insurance, but have chosen to see Dr. Baxley, as an ‘out-of-network’ provider. This means they use the ‘out-of-network’ benefits included in their plan, usually with the requirement they meet a deductible amount first and then are reimbursed for a percentage of the bill afterwards. (Please refer to your insurance card for the number to call and find out about your particular ‘out of network’ benefits.) At the end of each visit, you will be given everything needed to file with your insurance plan or, for your convenience, we have made provision with an independent billing contractor to file your claim for a fee.

The professionals who make up Dr. Baxley’s staff are an extension of the extraordinary care he delivers and their goal is to provide an exceptional office experience with the excellent customer service you expect and deserve. Because of the dedication of the staff, our patients enjoy little or no waiting room times, same day sick visits and timely return of phone calls. They take pride in the quality of care provided by this office and find great joy in helping care for all of their patients.

Meet the staff

Rick Baxley, M.D.


Dr. Baxley is a native of St. Augustine, Florida and a graduate of the University of Florida. He earned his Medical Degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine as well as a Masters in Public Health degree from Loma Linda University in California.

The compassion he shows for his patients also is reflected in his dedication to community service. In 1994, President Bill Clinton honored Dr. Baxley in a Rose Garden ceremony with the President’s Volunteer Action Award from the National Points of Light Foundation for his work with the Health Care Center for the Homeless. In 1999, the Florida Academy of Family Physicians named him “Florida Family Physician of the Year.” He is regularly listed in Orlando Magazine as one of Central Florida's Best Doctors.

Outside the office, Dr. Baxley enjoys spending time with his wife Barbara (an early childhood educator) and his two daughters, fishing and listening to good rock and roll music. He also remains an avid University of Florida fan, and even has a German Shepard named "Gator."

Jennifer Carter


Medical Assistant

Jennifer has been with Dr. Baxley since 2009. She assists Dr. Baxley in patient care with vital signs, EKG's, Stress tests, blood draw, injections and helping patients with referrals, prescription refills and being available to answer their concerning questions.

She is married and has two children. A native of Northern Ohio her hobbies include being with her family, gardening, playing with her two yellow Labradors and enjoying the outdoors.

Konnie Kohrs


Office Manager

Konnie has been responsible for keeping all administrative aspects of the office running smoothly since 1998. She is an authority on excellence in customer care and is always looking for ways to improve the patient’s experience. In addition, she is available to assist patients who have billing and reimbursement questions. Konnie enjoys running, bike riding, skiing, paddleboarding and lazy days on the beach with her family.

Stacey Lindamood


Front Office

Since 2003, Stacey has been the welcoming face that greets patients when they arrive and the friendly voice that answers the phone when they call. Stacey is skilled at handling the many calls and the large quantity of patient information that comes through the office each day. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
